REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
Members of the Legion and Public paraded from Park Road to the War Memorial. The Parade gets bigger year on year.
A short wreath laying service was led by the Rev Michael Boultbee the legion chaplain assisted by Rev R Whitehead assistant legion chaplain and Rev S Croft the new vicar of St Gregory’s church.
This was followed by a church service during which a collection was taken for the poppy appeal which raised £472.82.
Afterwards everyone adjourned to the Legion premises in Park Road for a buffet and Raffle.
Presentation were made these included Gold Badges for Ron Leech and Fred Archer this is one of the highest awards the legion can make.

BAND CONCERT
The Band Concert by the Salmanca Band of the Rifles took place on Saturday 28th November. The band played a selection of music which was enjoyed by everyone who attended and the magnificient sum of £1430.53 was raised for the poppy appeal. Next years concert is under discussion watch this space.
